KUALA LUMPUR: Mohamad Nasir Ramlee, the only son of Malay entertainment icon Tan Sri P. Ramlee, died Wednesday of heart and kidney failure. He was 55.
He breathed his last at 5.10pm at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital where he was admitted at 3pm.
Mohamad Nasir, who was born in Singapore, is P. Ramlee’s son from his marriage to Junaidah, a Malay actress of the 1950s and 60s.
One of his close friends, Roslay Raffie, said Mohamad Nasir has been unwell since two days ago.

it was a tragic death indeed.
i remembered reading an article a few years back showing a picture of arwah Nasir holding a broom while sweeping the road side which pays him minimum wage.
the son of an icon.
i felt that he should expose himself by venturing into multi businesses and make full use of his father's undeniable influence back then.
